XAGRO Grows, Adding New Divisions

February 16, 2011 -
Nicaragua: XAGRO S.A. Announced today that they have added two new divisions to better serve its growing customer base.

An Export Trade Department was created to benefit manufactures in Nicaragua who do not have the experience or financing to export their products directly.

XAGRO will work with these companies, providing access to foreign buyers and technical assistance. "we plan on working one on one with those businesses that are interested in expanding and finding new market opportunities for their products" quoted Ronald Ehli, CEO of XAGRO. "We have substantial market knowledge, specifically in the United States, and can provide our partners with a vast array of services" he continued.

The other new division is Contract Farming which is an area that XAGRO has grown significantly over the past year. Contract farming is agricultural production carried out according to an agreement between a buyer and XAGRO whereby a buyer can better control product quality, timing and pricing.

"We welcome experimental and specialized crops" exclaimed Ehli at a recent news conference. "Doing business in a foreign country is not easy, so having a proven partner, on site, managing your program, is vital". "XAGRO can help with every aspect, from importing the seeds to planting, harvesting, packing and successfully exporting back to the clients warehouse" stated Ehli. XAGRO can commit as little as 1 acre to over 2500 to any given project.
